As you know, enrollments have not met expectations for the current academic year, and the compensation of several groups of Rider employees have been lowered in an effort to make up for financial shortfalls. President Dell’Omo reached out to the Executive Committee early in August to discuss contributions of the AAUP to the financial situation as well. The first part of any negotiations along these lines is the gathering of data on the current and future financial status of the institution, and the two linked files relate to this information gathering.
The first document is a copy of the PowerPoint slides that President Dell’Omo and Provost Fredeen presented to the Executive Committee on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
The second document is a letter that the Executive Committee sent to President Dell’Omo, requesting additional information. The president has provided some of the requested information, but other information has yet to be delivered.
The Executive Committee will continue to keep the chapter updated as the situation develops.
